Pasardana.id - Bank Jateng has reaffirmed its strategic position in supporting the development of capital markets in Indonesia, particularly in Central Java and the surrounding region.
In this regard, Bank Jateng has officially established a capital markets partnership with PT BNI Asset Management (BNI AM), a subsidiary of PT BNI Sekuritas (BNI Sekuritas), one of the leading investment management companies in the country.
The collaboration includes the development of a custodian bank, securities transactions, and investment portfolio management.
This appointment marks a significant milestone for Bank Jateng in strengthening its role in the regional and national investment ecosystem and demonstrates BNI AM's confidence in Bank Jateng's capabilities and reputation in providing secure, transparent custodial services that meet the stringent standards of Indonesian capital market regulators.
This custodial role includes mutual fund asset custody, transaction recording, and transparent reporting in accordance with capital market regulations.
In addition to its custodial function, Bank Jateng is also committed to playing an active role in expanding financial literacy and inclusion in Central Java through various investment products, including capital market transactions and investment portfolio management.
With the support of strong financial infrastructure, Bank Jateng and BNI AM hope to encourage the public to invest intelligently and safely.
In his remarks, BNI Asset Management President Director Ari Adil stated that the trust placed in Bank Jateng aligns with the company's commitment to expanding strategic partnerships with regional financial institutions and strengthening the investment ecosystem, particularly in Central Java.
"We express our deepest gratitude for the ongoing collaboration. We hope this collaboration will bring fresh impetus to Bank Jateng in expanding its business services as a custodian bank, expanding services in the capital market, and will provide added value for investors and support the sustainable growth of mutual funds," Ari explained, as reported in a written statement on Monday (July 28).
On the same occasion, Ristiani Saptuti, Finance Director of Bank Jateng, stated, "The Indonesian capital market continues to demonstrate high resilience and positive growth amidst global economic uncertainty. In addition to the increase in the number of securities listed on the Indonesian capital market, the significant increase in the number of investors in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds reflects the market's continued confidence despite the challenges of global and domestic economic volatility. Bank Jateng is optimistic that its managed funds under customer custody (AUC) will continue to increase this year, in line with Bank Jateng's efforts to strengthen its treasury business and promote capital market services for customers. Furthermore, this collaboration will certainly contribute to strengthening custodial and treasury services through collaboration with national investment managers such as BNI AM."
Ristiani further stated, "Hopefully, this collaboration can meet liquidity needs and optimally support investment activities, particularly in the management of money market and capital market instruments such as mutual funds, Securities Portfolio Management for Individual Customers, and other instruments. It can also strengthen the regional investment ecosystem, bolstering the operational structure and overall management of mutual funds, from sales and asset custody to liquidity support."
It was also stated that the signing of the cooperation agreement between Bank Jateng and BNI AM is expected to provide added value for both parties, particularly in business development in the capital markets and banking sectors.
