Rakyat Merdeka - BNI Asset Management (BNI AM) again contributed to supporting the success of the National Movement for the Protection of Vulnerable Workers (GN Circle) Employment Social Security Organizing Agency or BPJAMSOSTEK by channeling Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to 500 fishermen and tourism workers in the area East Bali.

This activity in collaboration with BPJAMSOSTEK Bali Gianyar is a manifestation of the company's commitment to the concept of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) with an emphasis on development, investment and sustainable business.

The activity which was held at the Belitung Banjar Center, Klungkung Regency on Thursday (24/8) was attended by Klungkung Regent I Nyoman Suwirta, Head of the Klungkung Food Security and Fisheries Service Anak Agung Gede Putra Wedana.

Also present were the Head of BPJAMSOSTEK Regional Office Banuspa Kuncoro Budi Winarno, Head of BPJAMSOSTEK Bali Gianyar Pandu Aria, Plt Main Director of BNI AM Donny Susatio Adjie, and Acta RCEO BNI Regional Office 08 Acta Suryadinata.

In addition, fishermen who received CSR funds were also present in the form of a Work Accident Guarantee Program (JKK) and Death Insurance Program (JKm) of IDR 50,400 per person with a coverage period of 3 months.

With the participation of these two programs, fishermen and tourism workers who are vulnerable workers will receive protection which includes care and treatment in cases of work accidents, as well as death benefits totaling IDR 42 million.

Acting Main Director of BNI AM Donny Susatio said that the event was part of a series of CSR BNI AM with ESG nuances this year, after previously planting 2,000 mangrove seedlings in Benoa Bay, Bali.

"As an investment manager who has issued two environmentally sound mutual fund (ESG) products, namely the BNI AM Sri Kehati Mutual Fund and the BNI AM ETF MSCI ESG Leaders Indonesia (XBES) Mutual Fund, we are committed to continuing to support environmental, social and governance conservation efforts. sustainable management," said Donny.

Donny hopes that this program will assist beneficiaries in fulfilling their work safety guarantee needs.

"In the future, of course there will be similar programs that we will continue to support so that we can become a pilot investment manager in implementing ESG with an emphasis on development, investment and sustainable business," said Donny.

Meanwhile, Head of the Bali Gianyar Branch of BPJAMSOSTEK Pandu Aria explained, the social security provided is a form of the state in providing protection for all workers who face social risks.

"We hope that all working people can become BPJAMSOSTEK participants, because we don't expect the risk, but we really need protection," said Pandu.

He explained that employers, ranging from micro-enterprises to large companies, have an obligation to provide employment social security protection to all of their workers.

In addition, self-employed workers such as traders, tailors, stakeholders, farmers, fishermen, artisans, breeders, drivers, and others can also become participants in employment social security programs organized by BPJAMSOSTEK.

With contribution payments starting from IDR 16,800 per month, workers can benefit from the JKK and JKm programs organized by BPJAMSOSTEK.

Pandu further explained that currently self-employed workers can register through service channels such as Post Offices/Post Agents, BNI 46 Agents, minimarket outlets, and other banking channels that have collaborated.

"All BPJAMSOSTEK staff are ready to provide the best support, because we are an extension of the government, and with Employment Social Security protection, the poverty rate will continue to decrease," said Pandu.
